Rubin, Consultant
AMS Planning & Research Corp.
A museum professional with over 15 years experience, Beth
Rubin has expertise in all areas of collections management,
research and cataloguing, as well as all aspects of exhibition
development and implementation.
Beth was Exhibition Coordinator at the United States Holocaust
Memorial Museum overseeing the work of researchers, curators,
conservators, designers and fabricators for major special
exhibitions. She held the position of Shoenberg Curator at
the Missouri Historical Society, with curatorial responsibilities
for a diverse collection of art and artifacts. She has served
as a consultant for various institutions, including the St.
Louis Science Center, and the St. Louis Museum Project (an
initiative to form a new, Smithsonian-affiliate museum).
With AMS, she has worked on market research and planning
projects for a variety of clients, including: Long Beach
Public Funding Study (CA), Microcomputer Museum Feasibility
Study (NM), African American Museum (Wilmington, DE), Sierra
Valley Natural History Museum (CA), Speed Museum Master Plan
(Louisville, KY), Asia House Texas (Houston) and Cultural
Impact Study (Houston).
Beth is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of
Pennsylvania (B.A. in History, and B.S. in Marketing from
the Wharton School) and the University of Michigan (M.A.
in American Culture with a Certificate in Museum Practice). |
