The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro announced an April 26th groundbreaking for the $78.1 million Center, anticipated to open in early 2019.
AMS was engaged in 2012 to conduct the feasibility study, which included a market assessment and program and community impact potential for a venue that would serve the Triad area as a new touring roadhouse in Downtown Greensboro.
Designed by H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, the Center will house 3,000 seats and accommodate a variety of performance types. It will be located adjacent to the new Carolyn and Maurice LeBauer City Park, Greensboro Historical Museum, Greensboro Public Library, and Greensboro Cultural Center.
