Granville Island 2040

AMS partnered with CMHC and HCMA Architecture + Design to re-imagine Granville Island’s arts and culture sector.

The recently released report, Granville Island 2040: Bridging Past & Future, outlines key strategies for success, including embracing arts and innovation within a newly created, peninsula-wide master plan to lead Granville Island into the year 2040. AMS identified three thematic pillars to be integrated with HCMA’s land-use and development strategies including; Dynamic governance and strategic thought and programming; Enabling risk by providing organizational capacity and facilitating exploration, and; Creating resiliency as a process and a goal, from workforce development to life-long education opportunities. The integration of these themes would add value to the Island by enhancing focus, energy and excitement. We look forward to following the progression of Granville Island 2040.
